Simple Things lyrics: Yeah, uhh They say money can’t buy you love They say money can’t buy you love They never seem to listen I’m all ears Just copped your girl a brand new Rolex But you can never find the time to spend at home Thinkin’ it’s gon’ keep her happy When time is all she wanted all along [Chorus] It’s the simple things in life we forget You hear her talkin’ but don’t hear what she said Why do you make something so easy so complicated Searching for what’s right in front of your face But you can’t see it So you think that you know what’s important Steady chasin’ your fame and your fortune But you don’t know You’re chasing a dime losin’ a treasure Those dollars don’t make sense to me at all Ooh, it goes Duh da duh da You give her spending money Duh da duh da But all she wanna spend is time alone (tonight) Keep givin’ her The finer things but But she don’t really need that If you don’t stop you’re You’re gonna end up alone (alone) The world without love MORE?

In 1908, Rolex was founded by Mr. Hans Wilsdorf, a German Citizen. Wilsdorf dreamed up the word Rolex while riding a London bus.

The least expensive Rolex starts at around $2700. Note that fake Rolexes are very common, so buy from a reputable dealer!

For what you'll pay on eBay, just go to New York and kick it in Times Square. You'll get them there for $10-15 apiece. Do NOT pay more than $10-$15 apiece. Trust me, you WILL see "Folex" vendors.
The watches are amusing but total pieces of crap. At least you'll get a trip to New York out of the deal.

Yes probably. I beat mine up something dreadful (gardening etc etc) and it doesn't have a mark on it – now ten years old! Worn daily too.
You can only scratch glass with a diamond. I use a razor blade on my ceramic hob. No problem.
One frosty morning I set off for work. I had only driven a few metres when the inside of the windscreen started to mist up. Well aware that I was wearing diamond rings, I used the front of my hand, rather than the back. Later I saw a scratch on the inside of the windscreen. "How did that happen?" I asked myself. The answer was clear. It was a cold day, and my fingers had become thinner, my rings had slipped and I had scratched the windscreen myself.
Certainly not with a compass, see link.

for my Extravagance
Did you buy the Rolex on a beach in Cancun?
I spent $12 for mine in Playa del Carmen and it keeps terrible time too.
Is it a real one or did you buy it whilst on holiday in Thailand ?
"Would Jesus Wear a Rolex on His Television Show"?
It depends what you mean be terrible. A watch that is stopped is exactly right twice a day. A watch that is 60 seconds fast is never right.
The correctness of a watch is itself a symbol of the complexity of God and reality.
Did you buy it from a Chinese sweatshop?
Not for "extravagance". But God can be quite ironical. I could imagine Him doing that if, for example, you refused to lend your brother some money to buy a car that he needed to get a job, because you needed the money to get a watch that doesn't keep time so terrible as the cheap stuff.
God's a prankster. the power goes out in the middle of the night anytime i set the alarm. every time i cook the smoke alarm goes off even if i don't burn something. i wash my car because it is sunny out and the forecast is good and it rains. and i was blessed with the most head strong, stubborn children simply because i used to shake my head at parents with kids that would throw themselves on the floor at the grocery store for candy.
you know He loves to laugh at us and he picks on those of us with a sense of humor. how else would He get through the day?

I wonder what exactly makes them so special?, as compared to other good brands like "Citizen"
Original Rolex watches use Swiss clockwork, whose quality is beyond reproach, plus the casings were deliberately made luxurious as well as resistant, so as to make the result even more of an expensive luxury item. Add to it that they were great innovators in the watchmaking industry, creating such gadgets as the self winding watch or the waterproof watch, and you can see how they got quite a reputation
Some rich people with influence over fashion adopted them, which made them highly sought after, and even more expensive… and now they are a century old standard of luxury watchmaking in a world where there are more snobbish people with too much money than ever before, and you've got the stage set for luxury stuff that's priced outrageously and still successful.
great marketing
hand made…uses jewels and precious metals also in their inner components…the quality is excellent…you get what you paid for.
cause people are stupid enough to pay that kind of money
