Michael Kors Golden Large Runway Double Glitz Watch

Spring’s flowers have bloomed and so have the trends for Michael Korswatches. This season, Michael Kors watches set in golden steel casings and tortoise acetate are officially in. Also known as the models that comprise the Golden collection and Tortoise and Horn collection, respectively, these sleek timepieces are exclusive to the classic American brand.

The Golden collection brings about a high-fashion sense to its wearers, exemplified by the Large Runway Double Glitz Watch. Every inch of golden perfection radiates with sophistication and glamour, with crystal insets on a rose gold bezel further accenting the gold dial. The chronograph displays a stopwatch and date function, and more crystal insets adorn the stainless steel watch strap. With a water resistance of 8 atm, this timepiece is a definite steal at the retail price of $ 325.

A great representative of the aesthetic feel of the Tortoise collection, the Mid-Size Tribeca Chronograph Watch also has elements of the Golden collection in its construction. The Tribeca has a similarly styled date window and golden stainless steel case, but the bezel differs in that it is composed of tortoise acetate and detailed with studs. The bracelet strap diameter extends 22 mm, with the case 43 mm across, and the entire piece resists water up to 10 atm. Lend a classy look to any outfit with the Tribeca, currently selling for $ 275.

The Mini-Size Tessa Three-Hand Watch is yet another effortless blend of the Golden and Tortoise essences with a unique shape of its own. Almost completely disguised as a bracelet, the Tessa’s rectangular case cheekily contains its golden face inside the constraints of the strap. The bracelet strap is made up of tortoise acetate enclosing links of gold stainless steel, providing a lightweight alternative to those who find conventional watch shapes a burden. At the price of $ 160, one may find this watch a lighter burden on one’s wallet as well.

The appropriately named Tortoise Show Stopper Glitz Watch stands in a league of its own, with a bracelet strap made completely from tortoise. This lends a rugged look and a deep contrast to the swanky rose gold bezel glittering with crystals. A dark brown ring encloses the mother of pearl face and three sub dials, and the date window and stopwatch give off the signature vibe of Michael Kors watches. Juxtaposing the fundamentals from the two collections so sharply results in a lasting impression, and at $ 275 the Show Stopper thus fulfills its duty.

This spring is full of steely blues and vivid matted reds and oranges for men’s watch fashions from Armani Exchange, Starck, Fossil, and Diesel. This season looks toward summer with accented hands and dials, allowing you to accessorize any look from casual to professional. And always paying homage to the classics, each has a dressier style that’s sure to turn heads.

Red is apparently the color this season, with a great amount of designers playing with burgundies and saucier bright reds. Armani Exchange unveiled plenty of red this season in silicone straps and stainless steel bracelets. At least six models boast red through accented chronographs against a black backdrop or a full on red attack, complete with red case and silicone strap.

Diesel followed red suit, adding their own unique twist to the mix with their insanely oversized faces and acrylic, resin and aluminum materials while Starck stretched their red all the way to bright oranges and lime greens.

Fossil seemed to start all the red fuss last fall with it’s Machine watch, featuring a red machinated top ring set against an all-black case and bracelet. Since then, they’ve added burgundy and red touches to classic dress watches and taken the top ring to other models and matched it with black interchangeable silicone and aluminum bands.

Along with red, Fossil has stretched the Machine watch across orange and green, mixing an orange top ring with olive green silicone band and case and accented orange chronographs, hands and tachymeter markings on some of their models. Diesel reached a tangerine orange for the accents in the face of their highly-functional 65mm wide watch, complete with three analog faces and a digital display.

True to the classic wearability of anything matte, Fossil unveiled a smokey-blue matte stainless steel watch with a matching dial, case and bracelet. No doubt ion-plated, the blue timepiece combines the classic with a subdued burst of color that will be easy to accommodate any clothing this spring. This all-blue Machine comes in either stainless steel or steel and silicone. Diesel threw its blue into the ring with an analog, aqua-blue 67mm model that pushes even their limits of oversized faces while Armani Exchange only offered professional navy blue dials and silicone models and a classic gun metal stainless paired with a sleek blue analog face.

Blue and red find themselves in the midst of classic stainless steel watches at Fossil and Armani Exchange, with both brands sprucing up the simple dress watch with touches of degrade (Fossil) and textured steel and rose gold-tone-tipped accents that’ll make everyone look twice (A/X).

Combine sporty attitude with stylish elegance and what do you get? A designer watch by Michael Kors! Michael Kors’ line-up for spring brings us designer chronograph watches that shout style and grace.

Launched in 1981, the Michael Kors brand has since become an international success. Originally established as a luxury sportswear company, Michael Kors, an award-winner designer, slowly expanded into global apparel, accessories (handbags, small leather goods, eyewear, jewelry and watches) and footwear. First on the list for the spring collection is the Michael Kors Mid-Size Tribeca Chronograph watch. This stylish timepiece comes in two different tones. The first is a golden/tortoise which boasts a golden stainless steel bracelet with a tortoise acetate inlay. It features a round bezel with brown chronograph detail and three golden time stops with accents. A small circular date window appears above the holder for the numeral six, while the numerals displayed are visible in white. The strap is a bracelet style with deployant buckle.

The twin to the Michael Kors Mid-Size Tribeca Chronograph comes in espresso/white horn. The watch is an espresso-colored stainless steel and white horn acetate which radiates a gorgeous tone. All the key features are identical to its twin.

The third watch in the spring collection is the Michael Kors Oversized Runway Chronograph watch which comes in an appealing bronze. It features a bronze oversized case with camera detailing. Its bronze-brushed chronograph dial with tonal and white accents creates a rich color that exudes style. The chronograph also features a stop watch function. A small square date window is positioned between the four and five numerals. The bracelet style strap comes with deployant buckle.

While all three chronographs are highly fashionable and stylish, they also portray key practical features. This design is what the Michael Kors brand is all about. This year’s women’s spring fashions will kick off in lively reds and soon taper off into greens, lilacs and lavenders. Spring selections from Michael Kors, Armani Exchange, Marc by Marc Jacobs and DKNY all point to rose gold tones, fuchsias, purples and reds, allowing you to keep up with the burst of color that’s about to spring soon.

With an intense focus on red and pink over the past holiday season, women’s watch fashions will won’t deviate from that palette for at least the first few weeks of spring. It seems that everyone is so ready to be free of heavy coats and extreme temperatures and I’m predicting a huge splash of more vibrant reds and bright pinks as we head toward spring.

Once settled into the warmer and more humid parts of spring, I anticipate an influx of mint julep greens, lilacs and lavenders. Another hit from Christmas was anything rose-gold toned, which I predict will carry on into spring. For those seeking something a little different, each brand presents its own blazon standalone that’s sure to garner attention.

Michael Kors does not disappoint, even on safari. New selections from Kors includes the multi-colored Blair series with a mini rose gold-tone watch with a sparkly bezel. The animal print-inspired Madison collection is sure to be a hit this spring, offering materials like faux horn, resin, and stainless steel.

A wild array of poignant fuchsias and blues define the Marc by Marc Jacobs spring selections. Pairing yellow gold-tones with amethyst, and saucy reds and pairing vibrant blues with stainless steel cases, this spring spells comfort with soft silicone and full grain leather straps. Marc by Marc Jacobs offers comfort, style and name brand to accommodate all your spring fashions.

Armani Exchange offers flashier selections that go well with work and after hours, including a denim-blue resin watch with rose gold-tone indexes and accents. A new season brings new trends in the world of Michael Kors luxury watches. From the boldest and the brightest to the chic and elegant, the Spring 2012 collection has it all.

Fashionistas and go-getters of the most popular fads will likely show their wallets to the nearest Michael Kors retailer this spring. This year’s trends are focused on a variety of styles – an urban chic flair for elegance, tribal and safari-like inspirations, bright and vibrant colors that make a bold statement and a casual and sporty look for everyday wear.

To create a balance spring which will contribute to even greater stability and timekeeping performance, Omega has turned to a material which has long been associated with the high-tech industry: silicon. Silicon is non-magnetic so the performance of the silicon balance-spring is not disturbed by exposure to magnetic objects. Also, while the performance of mechanical watches tends to deviate over time as a result of small everyday shocks, these disturbances have very little effect on silicon balance-springs. Particularly significant from a horological point of view is that there is substantial freedom in the fabrication of balance-springs made of silicon. This allows their geometry to be modified for optimal isochronism, the quality of oscillations occurring in equal periods of time. This isochronous quality reduces the amount of deviation in the watch’s accuracy.
