Question by integral_psychology

I recently put a web site online with the possibility for internauts to contact me via a window on the site. I am receiving what are probably automated contact selling luxury watches, etc… I have noticed on other web sites, when I want to contact, there is a code generator that eliminates this type of nuisance. What is it called and how can I get it for my site? thank you.

you really can’t, but if you changed your address to a jpg of your address the bots would stop getting your address. This also means people would have to type in your address, not just click on the link.

Get a good spam filter like spam bully.

Never reply to these emails or unsubscribe, all you are doing is informing the spammers it is a valid email address and you will get even more

I’m pretty sure I’m getting about 50 spam emails a day, now, trying to sell me “top quality luxury watches”. Just wondering if anyone has ever actually bought a watch from someone who sent them random spam.

Does anyone think Xtra’s email “service” was better before they improved it and went to Yahoo? I’ve never had so much trouble.

Return to classic Yahoo e-mail. Much more reliable then the new one.
Genuine e-mail can end up in your Spam folder also, if the sender sends the e-mail to multiple recipients.
Yahoo just not the way it used to be,
They say Patience!!!!,,,,i think they want us to be a Patient….lol…in an asylum to stick with them….lmaof

I get this super annoying spam mail that has a picture of eReplicaShop on it. eReplicaShop makes fake replicas of watches and jewelry from companies such as Rolex and Tiffany & Co. Jewelry. Under it, it has these weird messages that are completely irrelavent to my life or anything else. How can I report this?

How to sort your spam mail
You can choose how long you want to keep messages in your Bulk Mail Folder. You can choose to drop all messages in your Bulk Mail Folder or keep messages for 1 week, 2 weeks or 1 month. The default is one month.
To edit this feature:
1.Click “Mail Options”
2.Click “Spam Protection”
Here you will have the following two choices:
o”Immediately delete these messages upon receipt”
o1 week
o2 weeks
o1 month (30 days) – default
Important: Occasionally, valid email messages may be perceived as spam and delivered to the Bulk folder. Please note that if you select this option, you will not have an opportunity to review the messages in your Bulk folder before they are deleted.
3.Select “Save these messages in the Bulk folder” and select the desired timeframe from the drop down menu.
4.Click “Save Changes”
Please be aware that the bulk mail folder doesn’t generate spam, and you shouldn’t receive any additional mail as a result of this folder. The system only directs incoming messages addressed to you to a different folder.

a lot of the internet is funded by banner ads, and you get the same offers with spam, now i realize some people click these and get the virus/trojan from the person who sent it. but are there really enough people buying penis pills to justify this method of marketing.

i am not looking for moral opinions on the right or wrong of spamming, just an idea of how this works as a business, i mean how many people are actually buying fake rolex

Recently, a lot (by that i mean that the ratio of bulk mail in the bulk folter to the bulk in my inbox is at least 2:1) of bulk mail is getting past the filter and ending up in my inbox, how do i put a stop to that?

I did a google search of my email address and nothing turned up (which I think is good). Also, i’ve been careful not to post my email address on webpages. None the less, I’m getting the spam.

I wouldn’t mind it if they ended up in my bulk box (i’m always on the lookout for stock tips and fake rolex watches ;-) ), but they’re ending up in my inbox which is a huge problem.

Question by FL

I continuously receive obvious spam emails that are sent under the auspice of other Yahoo.com users. For example, I will receive an email from Joe.Smoe@yahoo.com but the email is obviously not from Joe Smoe as it advertises Rolex watches, Viagra, Medicare, or other spam trash offers. I even receive emails TO me that are FROM MY OWN yahoo email address! Some company / companies appear(s) to be pirating mine and other people’s Yahoo.com email addresses to broadcast spam commercial emails. I thought maybe my password had been compromised, so I changed it to another statistically very secure password, but that had no effect. How do I stop these buggers from exploiting my address?!?!

Best answer:

Answer by The Mr. Pine
Check the sent folder to make sure its from your mail. If so change your pass word.
