I have a phone plan with bell and i just won an unlocked sprint blackberry pearl 8130 at work. Can I use this with my bell plan?

Answer by Jessica F ah, no you can only use Rogers, because that’s the only company that supports black berry, at this given time it may change, but not any time soon.
What I mean is, do we have to have a land line through Bell South in order to get DSL from them? We are down in Florida, we have cable internet through Comcast and it SUCKS! We use cell phones as our house phones so we don’t need a land line.

Answer by roderick_young Generally yes, you need phone service in order to get DSL. The DSL could be provided by someone other than Bell South, but you would have to get the phone service from Bell South. Perhaps regulations will change in the future, as there is no technical reason why this must be so, but I believe this is the way it is today.
To save money, you might consider splitting the cost of your DSL connection with your neighbor, allowing them to be a guest on your wireless router, or vice-versa.
Lately, I’ve noticed that when they are preparing the bread and wine, they ring a bell every time the priest holds them up one at a time. I find that a little annoying since it breaks the silence and concentration of those praying. This started no longer than a year ago and its spreading to other parishes. Why do they have that now?

Currently on my phone I have no service on it but the phone was purchased from Cincinnati Bell. I need to use it with my Verizon plan. Help. I am very technical and think I may be able to handle the unlock on my own. I don’t want to have to pay someone if I dont have to.

Answer by kitkatherine No – Cincinnati Bell is on a different network type than Verizon. Cincinnati Bell is GSM and Verizon is CDMA – which means the chips inside the phone connect to different networks. You can unlock the phone but it can only be used on the same network (GSM).
What you may want to do is sell the phone on craigslist and buy a phone from Verizon. You can get a pretty decent price from craigslist if the phone is new or in good condition.
Hi, I was wondering if this could be used for any service provider if unlocked since I heard that Bell phones do not use SIM cards compared to Rogers and Fido that do use them.
