Given two scenarios, what would you predict the outcome of a date would be?

1. Someone wears a 10k rolex watch and visits a trendy nightclub in London surrounded by body guards, then finds girl who looks intelligent and loyal. He offers to take her on his yacht the next day. After she calls him, he explains that it was all a social experiment by a rich colleague of his who happens to be very old and married.

Result?

2. A homeless person asks a beautiful girl for a date without introducing himself. He is dirty and drinking a can of strong lager while begging. She turns him down. He laughs and jumps into a Lamborghini Diablo he parked down the street.

Result?

What are your interpretations of both scenarios and why?

That's would be interesting. I really think it depends on the women, but if I were the first girl, I would be annoyed and a little hurt, and if I were the second, I would probably laugh at how shallow I was.

If it's in London no amount of bodyguards would keep that rolex on his wrist. I don't get the result, in both circumstances there wouldn't be any date because in the first one she was turned down and in the second one he was. It'd be funny as hell, the first one has probably happened loads of times except replace "it was a social experiment" with "it was a successful attempt to bed you" but not really much of an experiment.

What kind of crappy gift is that? Supporting crooks and giving a piece of junk. Many people have spent years building these brands and these thieves are stealing from them. You can rationalize it all you want but in the end, everyone but the crook gets screwed. Your friend gets a crappy watch that will break in 3 weeks, you look like a shmuck and the manufacturer's brand gets degraded and cheapened.

Spend a bit more and get a decent watch that runs as well as a Rolex like a Seiko instead of a crappy watch that looks like a Rolex.

Hell, there's plenty of decent Swiss brands that cost less than a decent replica Rolex and the manufacturer will actually stand behind them. Check out Swiss Army, Tissot, Movado and Hamilton. All have models under $500 which is about what you'd have to pay to get a reasonably ok Rolex fake.

It is a bit old but …. I would like how much it is worth?

It is worth nearly nothing if you have no authentification certificate and perhaps the packaging.
Why don't you look it up online and see if they have a question booth or take it to a surveyor/ dealer to evaluate the price.
Obviously it is not going to be worth as much as it was when it was bought.

My dad has a Oyster Perpetual Date Rolex watch. I'm looking for an authentic replacement band for it. Anyone know where I can find one (not a "knock off" the real thing)? Invicta, Defaubre, Suttomarina Italy, etc.) They also use reliable and serviceable automatic or quartz movements — Japanese (Citizen/Miyota) or Swiss.

If you decide that you must purchase a Rolex replica, consider this… if you reside in the United States, there is a good chance that your package will get confiscated by Customs.
