How do you alter the time and date on a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Explorer II watch.

I bought it cheap off a website, it came from Malaysia and had no instructions with it.

I have tried turning the knob and also pulling it out, I don't want to force it though with it being a good make (even if it is probably only imitation)
