I have some friends that can spot a Rolex from a few feet away and when I have a look I can't really tell why it's a Rolex and not some other expensive watch brand. Does it have special traits? Thanks.

check the second hand, a knock off's second hand will "tick", while real rolex second hands "sweep" without ticking.

i can spot rolexes even when they cover them up or blur them out on tv, there are particualr case disigns and crystal configuarations, the sweep second hand doesnt give it away as all automatic and wind watches have that, and you can see it from far away, 99.99 percent of rolex fakes have sweeps

it depends some of those cheap ones on sale are about $20. Now the fancy ones with diamonds and all that can cost up to 150 to a couple thousand the reason is some rolex watches are used for many purposes and has world time.If you buy one of these fine watches be glad cause it will last pretty long (if you take care of it right) they're very good quality and some are hard to find… well that's it i guess.
