There are a lot of good builders out there. I am trying to find someone who can really build a "rolex rifle" for me that's as durable as a "timex that takes a licking and keeps on ticking". Please keep subject based on sniper rifles and not hunting rifles.

Being a member of various websites the largest opinions weigh towards PGW Timberwolf, Accuracy International AWM, APA "use to be Patriot Arms Inc." .338 Genesis, etc etc. If anyone has a good answer for this than shoot me an email. Thank you very much for your time ladies and gentlemen.

Answer

sniper is not a rifle type

sniper is a roll. Anyone who fills the roll of a sniper is a sniper. Any rifle a sniper is using becomes a sniper rifle. Any rifle NOT being used by a sniper therefore cannot be a sniper rifle.

Your basic premise is flawed.

Answer

The only difference between a "hunting" rifle and a "sniper" rifle, is the "hunter" behind the hunting rifle, and the "sniper" behind the sniper rifle. Aside from that I don't think many people would hunt with .338 lapua unless they're going to Africa.

That being said, I think it would be hard to beat a custom built rifle based on a surgeon remington 700 action. Unless you're an instant gratification kind of person custom builds are the way to go.

Barrett 98 bravo is a good factory rifle.

FYI, I hope you have DEEP pockets. .338 lapua magnum costs a couple bucks per shot even if you reload. Rifles are expensive and ammo is expensive.

Answer

Sniper = job
.338 rifle = tool
Get the picture?

Answer

This weapon is a .300 Winchester Magnum. But, the Tactical Operations Alpha 66 in the .300 Winchester Magnum should be enough since it's good out to 1500 meters.

Answer

not sure about the name but i know some guys in del rio tx make them i have had the chance to try 1 out not built for me as they are custom fit and shoot very nice, hope that helps.

Answer

many ways to tell, first off: no one gives a ROLEX for $100 dollars even if its used…second is the parts on it, the back face should have no writings on it, just a plain metal surface

Answer

if you want real answer go to a appraiser or better yet a pawn shop

Answer

Yep they have fakes, that make good fakes look bad, so this one I agree must go to a jeweler, that is certified in selling higher end watches and jewelry.

It's a steel ladies oyster perpetual.

Answer

try to appraise it on a pawnshop

Answer

Take it to a jewellers, they will tell you straight away. Also you can check this way..

"1
Consider the source of the watch. Luxury department stores and jewelers are the best places to buy a genuine Rolex. People do buy them first- and second-hand on eBay, provided that the seller can authenticate the piece. If you think you've found a genuine Rolex for $300 in New York's Chinatown, the vendor probably also has a bridge he can sell you that leads into Brooklyn.
2
Test the Rolex's heft in your hand. This is a solid watch and should carry some weight to it. Does it feel flimsy or lightweight? The watch's bands should also be solid, not hollow.
3
Look at the second hand. If it moves in small steps or jerks, immediately suspect the watch. The Rolex is know for a second hand that makes a continuous, smooth sweep that is hard to replicate.
4
Check the reference numbers on the case. Between the lugs on the side of the case are the watch's serial and case numbers. They should be nicely engraved and very smooth. These digits will be shoddily engraved on a fake Rolex.
5
Flip the watch over. Examine the holograph of the Rolex crown logo on the back of the case. The holograph should shift when you move the watch around.
6
Smear some water over the watch's face. Rolexes are made of sapphire crystal, and its extremely smooth face will make the water pool together. This won't happen on a fake with a regular glass face.
7
Drop the Rolex in water. The Oyster Perpetual has been to the bottom of the ocean, after all. Your watch should work fine after being submerged for several minutes."

I'm doing an English project and i had to choose one object to represent our culture as a whole. I chose a Rolex because it shows greed, importance of quality and Practicality. What other aspects of our culture does it show? Any answers would be greatly appreciated!!!

Answer

Well I don't know about practicality — an inexpensive watch can keep time as well as a Rolex. I think some people who want expensive jewelry, cars, etc., are insecure and it makes them feel better to show off their expensive things. But I think also that there are people who want an expensive item for its intrinsic value alone. For instance, I have several gold bracelets and necklaces. I don't wear them to impress anyone; I wear them because I like the feeling of (1) knowing I can afford this one luxury, and (2) having a precious, valued metal next to my skin. I can afford a Rolex, but don't see why I should spend that much money just to tell time. But my expenditures on gold jewelry may seem impractical to you and others. To each his own, I say. If you can afford it and it makes you feel good and doesn't hurt anyone, why not?

Answer

I own a Rolex because it says that I worked hard. I grew up very poor (yes we have poor people in the USA, we just never let anyone see them on TV). It took a lot to elevate myself from that.

I also think it makes me look older. I am 44, but I am often mistaken for a man who is only 30 or so. I think the Rolex makes me look more mature so people will take me more seriously.

Answer

Depends upon which culture. In Hong Kong you can buy a nice one for about $2,000.00 US

Answer

I dont think it shows greed. It shows QUALITY,and CRAFTSMANSHIP! And you have to pay for that.
