rolex watches Question&Answer: Question by Yao11: How long does the battery of the “automatic” Rolex Presidential Watches work for?
I have a rolex presidential day-to-day automatic watch. I wore it for 4 hours. However, after 10 hours (after the 4 hours), the watch stopped working until i shake it again. Can someone tell me if this is normal. And if so, how long does the battery usually last? Thank you so much.

i appologise for the spelling errors. the details should read

I basically want to know if the watch should be running for more than 10 hours, after wearing it for 4 hours. tysm =)

Answer by spyder461 I believe that this is normal. If this watch is what I am familiar with as an ‘Automatic’ watch, it actually does not have a battery. It is a spring based watch that is wound by the movement of your arm, which is why is started to work after you shake it. They make winders for this type of watch. For example: http://www.amazon.com/Steinhausen-Dual-Auto-Watch-Winder-Cherrywood/dp/B000P9NWBA . You put the watch in these devices, and they rock the watch back and forth to keep it wound properly. They usually have a timer so that the watch does not get over wound.
Rolex Daytona Question&Answer: Question by helpme: which one is a better looking watch between the Rolex Presidential and the Rolex Daytona (all gold)?
Best answer:
Answer by Mr. Charles All 18K yellow gold? Definitely the Rolex Day-Date (a.k.a. President.) Just my 2 cents, but the Daytona looks better in SS or 18K white gold.
