When in doubt, it won't hurt to take it to a professonal Jewler and have it appraised. Since they will have the means to verify its authenticity (even if you don't have the documentation). Instead of depending on second-hand-information that could just as easily be unreliable.

The Second hand movent is not so good, coz Seiko makes mens watches that have a Distinct movent like a rolex. So be careful of what "acqaintances" may say, especially if they don't Own a Genuine Rolex – themselves.

By its second hand movement, A fake you will see it tick a real one it goes around in a steady movement. THERE ALOT OF FAKES OUT THERE!

I have heard that you are supposed to watch the second hand. A fake will be jerky while moving. The second hand of a real rolex is supposed to be smooth without any jerky movements.

Not only the price but there is a number on all Rolex's inside the back of the watch. If you got one and didn't get papers to fill out with it, it's not real.

The second hand on a real Rolex does not stop. Meaning it sweeps around in one motion, not like it is ticking.
