If I want to buy a luxury watch in Dubai, how much cheaper will it be than buying in the USA? Can anyone quantify the price reductioninto a percentage estimate?

To be honest, if you go to the shops..I dont think you will see much of a price difference.
However, you could try classified ads that have become recently popular in Dubai – http://www.emiratesvillage.com

I would not pay any. Since it’s a fake it will probably be impounded by customs and destroyed.

Does anyone think Xtra’s email “service” was better before they improved it and went to Yahoo? I’ve never had so much trouble.

Return to classic Yahoo e-mail. Much more reliable then the new one.
Genuine e-mail can end up in your Spam folder also, if the sender sends the e-mail to multiple recipients.
Yahoo just not the way it used to be,

TimeZone’s End-Of-Year State-Of-The-Collection threads are so much fun to read. It is fascinating to see what people drive to collect certain watches or certain brands. Besides collecting the big brands (IWC, Omega, Rolex etc.) there are also quite some people collecting watches from the small and independent brands or who have a healthy mix of both.

Why do luxury watches like Rolex cost so much money. They look kinda plain and the mechanical movements don’t keep time as well as a their super cheap quartz counterparts. What then is the justification for spending over 5000 dollars for a regular steel watch?
