The Ulysse Nardin UN-118 To Be Found In Ochs & Junior Watches SoonBut, with Mr. Oechslin (who is under contact with Ulysse Nardin) planning to retire from his role as Director of the Musée International d’Horlogerie (MIH) in 2014, Ochs & Junior and Ulysse Nardin have announced a more formal partnership, beyong just sharing the brain of a great watchmaker.
Moving forward, Ochs & Junior watches will have the opportunity to use Ulysse Nardin’s brand new caliber, the UN-118, just introduced at Basel World this year. What does this mean? It means that Ochs & Junior won’t be beholden to the shrinking supply of ETA movements by the Swatch group. They do plan to continue their existing watches using ETA movement, but the UN caliber does open up new doors for new projects.
