That Budapest – one of the most beautiful cities in the world has developed where it is, is not down to some historical accident. Take a look at Gellért Hill, right next to the River Danube as it flows majestically through the centre of the modern city. It was precisely the combination of the relative ease of crossing the River here and the natural protection the hill offered against invasion that decided the earliest settlers it was the ideal place to build a town. The Eravisci, a tribe of highly cultured Celts, had already settled at Gellért Hill in the third and fourth centuries BC They worked with iron, decorated their earthenware pots and even minted their own coins. Later, the Romans built a settlement at todays Óbuda. They called it Aquincum and it was an important station along the limes which ran alongside the River Danube.

Joseph Bulova founded Bulova Watch Company in 1875 in New York, New York. He opened his own jewelry store on Maiden Lane in Lower Manhattan, the center of New York City’s jewelry industry. He called it “J. Bulova” and with no trouble distinguished himself from the thousands of jewelers in the district with its excellence and innovation in method and artistry. One of Bulova’s most popular watches to date is the Precisionist for various reasons.

Bulovaprecisionist.com claims the Precisionist to be the most precise watch with a constantly sweeping second hand. Two factors affecting accuracy are temperature changes and vibration frequency. Bulova technology addresses both by adding a third prong. Bulova calls this watch “A new era in timekeeping” and says “[the] Precisionist brings the watch industry a new sense of dynamism, an excitement that redefines the expected.”

One of Bulova's Military watches.

One of the key qualities that makes Bulova watches so different from its competitors is the fact that they make watches for those in the military. These military watches are sleek in style with oversized heads and thick arms for telling time. Not only are they seen on many military men and women, the Bulova military watch is sold to the general public as well and has proven to be widely popular. Their bands range in colors from what you would expect in army green to brown and black. These watches range anywhere in price from 80 to 200 dollars, and can be purchased in stories like Macy’s, overstock.com, and of course, Bulova’s website.

Another one of Bulova’s collections is called Caravelle by Bulova. The subtypes of this collection are the basic watch, the diamond watch, the sport watch, and the crystal watch.

The basic watch doesn’t fall far from its name. It has a silver band and a black face with cursive numerals on the face. The diamond watch is a bit more intricate, still silver on the band and black on the fact, but with diamonds where the numbers should be. The sport watch has a silver band with a white face, and blue circles on the inside. The crystal watch is the most unique, it being rectangular in shape and gold on the face and the band. It is also lined with crystals on the outermost edges.

Innovation is one of the key ingredients in the success of Bulova watches. The company even has a “Bulova Time iPhone Application” called “Bulova Time” which serves as an alarm clock and shows the world time. It has the accuracy of the atomic clock and the ease of Bulova’s first alarm clocks. Bulova proudly unveils “Bulova Time” as a force, fusing fashion and purpose in an easy-to-use app for the iPhone and iPod touch.

One of the world’s most recognized and sought after luxury watch brands is Zenith Watches. The recent addition of the annual WorldWatchReport, which is based on reports of anonymous consumer searches on Google, Bing, Yandex, and Baidu, found that Zenith is the third most searched brand behind IWC and Patek Phillipe. Zenith accounted for 11% of the demand. Zenith’s innovative and desired designs get a new contender this year in the one of the brand’s newest pieces, the El Primero Chronomaster 1969. Zenith’s position as one of the world’s most searched watch brands is certainly helped by the addition of this timepiece to the brand’s collection.

Zenith is a Swiss Watchmaker

The three most searched watch brands, IWC (23 % share), Patek Philippe (16%), and Zenith (11%), accounted for 50% of all of demand for high-end watch brands. Part of this demand is due to the rise in demand from Chinese consumers. China has the highest digital demand for watches, overtaking the United States.

Zenith is a Swiss watch manufacturer that was started in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot. Known for their quality, Zenith is the winner of many watchmaking awards. Most recently the brand won the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix for Best Complicated Watch of the Year for their Christoph Colomb Equation of Time watch. In addition to the quality craftsmanship, Zenith has the distinction of being one of the few remaining Swiss watch manufacturers that still produces their own movements. One of the company’s most famous movements is the El Primero chronograph.

The El Primero chronograph, one of the first automatic chronograph movements, was initially released in 1969. This movement is characterized by it’s high positional accuracy, with 36,000 alternations per hour, compared with the standard 28,000 alternations. While being a newly designed watch, the El Primero Chronomaster 1969 is a nod back to that original release.

The new model features vintage-style round push buttons on the side. The design has an opening on the watch face that shows the El Primero movement at work. Water-resistant to 100 meters, the El Primero Chronomaster 1969 gives a nod back to the original 1969 model by retaining the three different colored counters and the red seconds chronograph hand on the watch face. The two 30-second counters at 3 o’clock are midnight blue and the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock is anthracite. The watch is complete with an alligator leather strap.

Will the new El Primero Chronomaster 1969 cause consumers to search for Zenith at a higher rate or win awards like other Zenith models? Will this timepiece make it’s mark in the fastest growing market, China? It is too soon to tell. What is clear, though, that with this new piece Zenith gives a nod to it’s past while looking toward it’s future.

Nutrition: About 30-35% of the weight of hempseed is hemp oil, an edible oil that contains about 80% essential fatty acids (EFAs); ie, linoleic acid, omega-6 (LA, 55%), alpha-linolenic acid, omega-3 (ALA, 22%), in addition to gamma-linolenic acid, omega-6 (GLA, 14%) and stearidonic acid, omega-3 (SDA, 02%). Hempseed also contains about 20% of a highly-digestible protein, where 1/3 is edestin and 2/3 are albumins. Its amino acid profile is close to “complete” when compared to more common sources of proteins such as meat, milk, eggs and soy. The proportions of linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid in one tablespoon (15 ml) per day of hempseed oil easily provides human daily requirements for EFAs. Unlike flaxseed oil, hempseed oil can be used continuously without developing a deficiency or other imbalance of EFAs. This has been demonstrated in a clinical study, where the daily ingestion of flaxseed oil decreased the endogenous production of GLA. Hempseed is an adequate source of calcium and iron. Whole hempseeds are also a good source of phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, copper and manganese. Hempseed contains no gluten and therefore would not trigger symptoms of celiac disease. Medicine: Hemp seed oil has anti-inflammatory properties. THC value: Typically, Hemp contains below 0.3% THC, while Cannabis grown for marijuana can contain anywhere from 6 or 7 % to 20% or even more. HEMP SEED has 0% THC – Tho the THC itself has INCREDIBLE many medicine values to it.. Source: Wikipedia

The name Chanel is synonymous with haute couture, classic handbags, elegant fragrances and a glamorous collection of cosmetics and accessories. The brand’s founder Coco Chanel who long lives in the hearts and closets of fashionistas worldwide, was once a revolutionary in the fashion industry. Chanel came from humble beginnings in an orphanage, became a seamstress, and slowly worked her way to the top of her fashion empire.

"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different." Coco Chanel

Chanel was a pioneer in many ways; she was the first to name a fragrance after herself a designer, and the first to incorporate the details of menswear into a collection of women’s wear. Many years later in the year 2000, Chanel would be the first to create a ceramic watch which would later create a fashion craze among celebrities and consumers alike. It would be quite fair to say that Chanel has designed many successful watches before their ceramic J12 timepiece however, eleven years later; it still remains as their most popular watch.

Ceramic watches in general became popular for a number of reasons. First, even if the timepieces are created by a high-end designer, the prices are still affordable despite the quality craftsmanship. Second, the ceramic watches offer much more bang for the buck with its scratch and fade resistant ceramic properties. It is also available in a variety of colors that are unique to only ceramic timepieces. Chanel’s J12 model was their first unisex timepiece which was wildly popular with both sexes. Lastly, the quality of ceramic watches is known to be more consistent throughout due to the design process involved with ceramics.

The Chanel J12 series has six styles within its collection; Chromatic, Jewelry, Classic, Chronograph, GMT, and Marine which are all sporty and distinct with a luxe feel. With such variety from style to style in the J12 collection, there is sure to be a watch to match the style of any stylish man or woman. Each timepiece is a reminder of what Coco Chanel first sought out to convey with her collection of hats and women’s wear-casual elegance. That is probably one of the main reasons why the Chanel J12 watch continues to be their most popular watches despite its release over 10 years ago.
