Montblanc TimeWriter II Chronographe Bi-Fréquence 1000 does not showcase chronograph buttons despite the fact that it is a chronograph watch. It possesses only one button making it a monopusher. This button is located at 12 o’clock and just below this button is the watch dial extends and promises complicated mechanical timekeeping in its purest form.

Montblanc TimeWriter II Chronographe Bi-Fréquence 1000 Attributes. It showcases small but discreet hour and minute hands. Seconds are located at 9 o’clock and tracked by a rotating disk of sapphire crystal which works in conjunction with an immobile triangular index; both displays accurately maintains time in part to a large screw balance which swings at a traditional pace of 18,000 hourly semi-oscillations, 2.5 Hz, and is partially visible through the skeletonized dial which is located at 7 o’clock. The remaining indicators serve the chronograph function.

Chronograph Features. The chronograph balance can be seen at half past ten and oscillates at a rate of 360,000 A/h, 50 Hz, when initiated. The red chronograph indicator begins with an elapsed-seconds hand which completes one full 360 ?rotation every second ensuring it tip sprints along the hundredths-of-a-second scale on the dial’s periphery. The reserve of power indicator is an inset cartouche located at 3 o’clock, which when fully wound is sustained for forty-five minutes. Another arrow-tipped indicator is located at 12 o’clock which runs along a calibrated arcing scale from N, for neutral, through zero, onward to nine-thousandths of a second.

Technical Attributes. Montblanc TimeWriter II Chronographe Bi-Fréquence 1,000 meticulously reveals its complications and splendor of its internal caliber. Its black skeletonize dial provides a visual exercise of its complicated movement, revealing two balances and multiple hand-polished levers. Its contoured 47 mm diameter 18K white gold case gently flows into its horns. Its frequency movement is 50 hertz minimizing friction and reduces wear on the watch. The crown displays Montblanc’s star-shaped logo located at 3 o’clock. The chronograph button is positioned mid-point between the horns at 12 o’clock which marries harmonious with the watch’s overall design and styling. The caseback is sapphire crystal which again provides another inside view of Montblanc TimeWriter II Chronographe Bi-Fréquence 1,000 mechanical features. Filipina actress Kim Chiu for Philip Stein

As luxury watch brand Philip Stein expands into 25 countries, one may be surprised to learn that the largest market for the brand outside of the United States is the island nation of the Philippines.  The owner of the company, Will Stein, paid a visit to the country in 2007 and came back the next year to open the brand’s first global boutique in Pasig City. Filipina actress Kim Chiu has also appeared in several ads for Philip Stein.

Joined by Filipino television personality Kris Aquino, Will Stein endorsed the “Feel It- Project Red Cross” project at the opening of the new store at The Podium. This campaign benefits the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) and their blood services program, as Stein has long harbored a desire to give back to the Filipino people. At the event, Stein met with Lucerne Group managing directors Ivan Yao and Emerson Yao, all noting the sizable crowd of the brand’s fans waiting for the boutique’s grand opening. Lucerne Group exclusively distributes Philip Stein watches.

The president of the company then presented a P1 million check for the PNRC to Rosa Rosal, a dedicated PNRC member on the Board of Governors. Rosal gratefully accepted the donation, adding that the generous amount would surely help the foundation buy a platelet incubator. The blood services program has run since 1948 to promote giving safe blood to those in need.

The heads of product management and marketing and sales at Metrobank, Peaches Cuenco and Butch Reyes, also made an appearance at the event. It was announced that cardholders of Metrobank credit would receive zero interest for a year with the purchase of a limited edition Philip Stein “Red” watch. The line of “Red” watches was created solely to benefit the “Feel It” project, with the company donating part of the proceeds to the PNRC. Philip Stein collaborated with Kris Aquino to produce this special “Red” line, creating only 440 models total: 200 in large cases and 200 in small cases, all at the price of P30,000; the remaining 40 watches were sold at the price of P70,000, made in large cases with diamond indexes and with a dial featuring the letter “K”.

Ever since his first visit to the Philippines in 2007, Stein was moved by the country’s poverty level and wanted to take action. It seems that he has since taken significant steps toward his goal. ““We fully support the PNRC in providing quality life-saving services that protect the life and the dignity of everyone,” he said.

Time is running out (pun not so much intended as unavoidable) to get your bid in for the first of 500 limited edition watches Breitling has designed to commemorate the 2011 centennial anniversary of American Naval Aviation. For the last year, the Breitling Naval Centennial Limited Edition Airwolf #1 has been around the world and into space on the arms of world-famous aviators and will now go to auction to help raise money for youth scholarships to the National Flight Academy.

The bidding ends on February 29 and the highest bidder will be presented with the watch by astronaut Mark Kelly – who wore it into space on Space Shuttle Endeavor’s final mission in May – along with the Official Aviators’ Flight Log Book that accompanied each aviator on each individual flight.

The “Breitling Scholars” program sends 100 students annually to attend a simulated aircraft carrier simulation camp in Pensacola, Fla.

Per the NFA website: “The National Flight Academy is designed to address the serious concerns of declining Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills and standards in our country. The Academy’s mission is to inspire students who subsequently return to their parent schools and seek out the more challenging courses in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.”

“I am excited to have inaugurated the journey of this timepiece and appreciate the good it will do to support STEM education in our nation’s middle and high school,” said Kelly.

As of February 25 at 4PM, the bid was up to $ 48,500.

“The National Flight Academy is overwhelmed by the generosity of Breitling to allow the rich historical relevance of the #1 Airwolf watch to benefit the most modern learning program in the nation,” said NFA President, Gerry Hoewing. “The money raised from this auction will enable students from all over the world to improve performance in science, technology, engineering and math.”

Of the other 499 pieces produced, 50 will be given to the 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation Foundation of which Breitling is a Silver National Sponser. The remaining pieces have been on sale since last year and the numbers are dwindling – the Breitling Boutique in Manhattan has only a few left. Priced at $ 4,500 each, $ 100 also gets donated back to the Foundation.

Bell and Ross opened a new retail boutique in Hong Kong in December 2011, bringing the total number of boutiques in Asia to 8 and the number of boutiques worldwide to 9. The Company established its first boutique in Asia in Singapore in February 2010. The opening of the recent boutique in Hong Kong is part of the company’s international strategy to launch retail stores in strategic locations worldwide. This store is the second boutique in Hong Kong.  The fact that approximately 89 percent of Bel and Ross’ stores are in Asia shows the importance of this continent to its international development.

At present, there are no Bell and Ross boutiques in North or South America.

Bell and Ross was started in 1993 by two childhood friends, the French and Swiss designer Bruno Belamich and Carlos A. Rosillo. Bell and Ross is a company that creates watches that are used in a number of unusual locations. At first, it was able to collaborate with Sinn, a German watch maker manufacture that produces dashboard meters. This collaboration led to Bell and Ross products being on Space One and Hydro. This partnership ended in 2002.

Getting this collaboration with the Sinn Company at its infancy helped the Bell and Ross Company tremendously because, it was able to piggy back on the reputation and products of the Sinn Company and show the quality of their products at the same time.

Another strategy of Bell and Ross was to create a strong brand identity for the company and and provide an efficient chronometer to serve the needs of any customer that needs exact time. This product was adopted immediately by NATO, the Air Force and the French bomb quad.

The company also created Hydromax, which is deemed a reliable watch by divers, for deep underwater work . The watch holds a world record for water resistance up to 11,000 meters. The watch maker also includes watches that are used on airplanes. The company also reissued pilot watches that had been issued initially in the 30s and 40s and then forgotten; these watches are part of the Vintage collection.

Bell and Ross is a company that from the outset has focused on providing products for industries where precision and accuracy are an important and integral part of the job description.
