There is tropical, and then there is just downright ridiculous. As we’ve told you before, serious vintage Rolex collectors love it when the black part of a dial turns brown – they call it “chocolate” or “tropical.”  In many cases, people will pay a large premium for tropical dials.

The watch we spotted today over on VRF goes beyond chocolate and beyond tropical – in fact the damn dial is so faded it’s illegible to the naked eye.

What it is is a vintage Tudor Submariner Ref 7298 with pointed crown guards – a pretty cool and valuable piece.  But, the dial on this one is, well, really, really ridiculously faded.

Besides the incredibly faded dial (seller claims you can read it with a loupe), the watch looks OK.  What’s funny is, we bet there are some guys out there that are salivating at the chance to own a vintage Sub this tropical.

I have an idea for a dessert chalupa for Taco Bell, we know the chalupa comes in a fried pita shell. What if they were lightly coated in Cinnamon, and instead of meat, a fruit compost (strawberry, peach, etc.) whipped cream, and maybe nuts, chocolate, sprinkles, powder Sugar, or other dessert type toppings, kinda a dessert taco?

I’ve turned off all sounds for windows in the sounds tab in the control panel and yet I hear a bell ringing sound every so often on my computer. I don’t have any programs open or music on except sometimes aim but even after signing off it still goes off. Any ideas? And I hope it’s not some kind of strange virus!

My idea is to have spheres made out of hard taco shell material filled with beans, cheese, sour cream, rice, chicken, steak, ground beef, soft taco material, lettuce, and tomato.
It will be called a molecule or something. Those ingredients are all the ingredients that make up all of the Taco Bell items.
How can I get Taco Bell to make this into a real menu item and get paid for it?
Even if I don’t get paid, I’d like to eat that.

Question by mbmasu32: Does anyone have an idea if Howard-Boss Motorsports has folded in the Grand-Am Rolex racing Series?

When we were first dating, my fiancee bought me a tiny pair of diamond earrings. I lost one and was super upset. Last year he bought me new, bigger diamond earrings, and put the tiny little box inside of a HUGE box he filled with rocks. When I opened it, there was a nice little note on the top of the rocks about how he decided that since I always said it didn’t matter what he got me, he picked me out a couple nice “rocks” for Christmas. (I actually thought he had honestly picked me out rocks to put in the garden or something, he had to explain there was a gift under them).

A few weeks ago he lost the ring I bought him for graduation and he’s really sad about it. I bought him a new ring for Christmas. I work in a jewelry store, and while organizing I stumbled upon an old Rolex box from a watch a customer had bought years ago and never wanted the box (my boss told me take it if I wanted it). I was thinking of putting the ring in the Rolex box under the bracelet thing that holds the watch and then putting some cheap horribly tacky watch in there. Then put a nice note on top that says “There was a Rolex in this box, but I lost it. Seems to be a curse for us lately huh? Anyways, enjoy your gift”. So when he takes out the watch, the ring is underneath.

Good idea on how to get him back for my “rocks” last year? Or do you have a better suggestion for the ring? And yes we both have a good sense of humor, he will probably find it funnier than I do. I just want to be sure to get him back good.
