Jacob & Co Question&Answer:
Question by Chris Greenwood
before they had done any good or evil? Is this what the Bible says and teaches?
Answer by Ross
If one sees God that way he cannot know God and therefore, he cannot know His son.
We must realize that was written before His son made his appearance. We’ve had 2000 years to see God differently.

If there are, what are they and what do you think about them?
I already recognize that there are mixed views on whether or not Jacob and Esau implies predestination. Are there any stories in the Bible at all that imply predestination?
Answer by Giusto
Jeremiah 1:4-5
4Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Only scripture I could think of right away in the form of predestination

It was a borrowed FAITH from Isaac and Abraham.
She had a helpful understanding at the well, then deceived her husband with Jacob.
Then She recognized the Local gals with Esau were not so good.
They had no writings – all they knew was memorized in telling the stories around camp fires, gazing at the stars.

Jacob’s mom sees to it that things go the way they should go as to the facts, but Esau does not want to face the facts as they are.
Answer by BRoth
Esau is shamed that he would do such a thing and enraged that his brother would do such a thing.
I think Esau does NOT want to tell his father that he sold his birthright to Jacob out of shame, but does want to tell his father what Jacob did out of anger. It’s catch22

Jacob & Co Question&Answer:
Question by flyingfateggs
i have to do this thing for school and i am pretty lost if anyone can give me a good answer they ll get 10 points. i need a plot outline on the story of Esau and Jacob?
Answer by Sophie
this is my favorite story.
Jacob and Esau were two brothers who always fought. When they were in their mother’s womb they kicked and put their mother through intense pain. When they were born, Esau was born first and Jacob right behind him, clutching his ankle. That’s how Jacob got his name.
When they were older Esau was a hunter and a big hairy guy, while Jacob was smaller and stayed at the home. Esau was his father’s favorite and Jacob was his mothers. One day Esau came back from a hunt with nothing and starving so he asked Jacob to feed him. Jacob said he would, but only if Esau sold him his birth right. With a little agruement Esau sold Jacob his birth right, and ate.
Soon after that, Their father decided to give Esau the blessing but he told Esau to go get meat. While out hunting Jacob’s mother told Jacob to put on furs to be hairy like Esau to collect the blessing from his father. They slaughtered their goats and Jacob went in. His father was blind. Though he still sounded like Jacob his father asked if he could feel his hair to make sure it was Esau, but because of the furs Jacob felt like Esau and got the birth right from Issac. Esau came back infuriated, and promised to kill Jacob when his father died if Jacob didn’t flee. Soon after his father death, Jacob fled.
