rolex watches Question&Answer:

Question by Paul M

I have been spammed by a sender whom has my email address. I also have not been receiving all of my emails from friends/family. Did someone steal my account. The spam was for rolex watches. How did the sender have my email address as their sender email address? Help!

Best answer:

Answer by echinopsis
Your account has not been stolen! It is annoying, but meanwhile Spammers know how to make it look like you are the one who is sending such mails. Got some of them myself, but since I know that I don’t send myself any junk mail, I just delete them. As far as I know, there is no other way yet to deal with such crap.
As for not receiving all mails from family and friends – are you using Yahoo New Mail? If so, switch to Yahoo Mail Classic temporarely – lots of users are experiencing problems with New Mail.

annoying spammy e-mails!?

Question by cookie b

i hate spam e-mails. i get hundreds each day. i swapped to a new e-mail address so i could have one “clean” account if you will, one where i wouldn’t have to sift through hundreds of brand new rolex watches etc to find my work e-mails. however, it is also now being bombarded with spam.
my main question is….all of a sudden most of the spam (a good 90%) is from german e-mail addresses. they all end with “.de” instead of .com or .net….. they’re not in german language, just from german addresses. anyone know why? they seem to be slipping through my spam filters which is very annoying.

sell rolex Question&Answer:
Question by kim b: Spam emails in my inbox….from me?
I’m getting Spam email in my inbox (ie..selling rolex watches..or meds)..the thing is, is that it is telling me it if from my own email…has someone tapped into my email?.. am I setting myself up for getting a virus or something?

Best answer:

Answer by Barkley Hound
Anyone with a separate email program can use any name or address for the FROM address. I could change my name and address in seconds in Thunderbird to anything. It in no way indicates a problem. Spammers do it to keep mail from being returned to them. There is no way for you to stop it. You also can’t mark it as spam or you block yourself.
