I have two watches. one is a seiko5 auto matic,date and day.(gold- rolex style)that is 30m water resistant andhas gold plateing. and my second watch is a casio EDIFICE that is 100m water resistant with stainless steel caseing and black rubber strap(quartz movt). the casio watch have a date section, day section and a 24 hour clock. CAn any one tell me if these watches are good bad or some where in the middle? i'll apreciate it if some one can tell me about how much they r worth cuz i forgot the price for them. it'll be great if any one can help me out. thx

If U are that rich that U forgot the price of a expensive watch then just throw it out & go for a third one from the market.

do you relinquish the money to him or do you fight him for it? let's just say that if you're a guy, it's another guy that found the money with you and if you're a girl, another girl wearing a rolex found the money with you. and how different would it be if it were actually someone of the opposite sex that found the money with you? what if you didn't know that the rolex was a cheap imitation… would it make a difference?

let him pick up the bill, but take his rolex.

I'd nonchalantly knock him onto the tracks. Take my c-note, and whistle as I stroll down the platform…

I'd take it and tell him he didn't need it and I'd be pissed if he said he did and call him a damned mother grabbing liar.

There's no way I'd walk away wifout it.

Do Rolex watches increase in value?
Which models best retain their value?

I want to buy one as an investment if feasible.

Luxury watches, shouldn't been seen as an investment, first off… However, if you do want to get a Rolex that will appreciate overtime that is in regular productions a S/S black or white Daytona is your best bet. Typically they sell on the used market for $3k+ over list. If you can get one from a dealer at list you're in great shape to turn a profit, unfortunately the wait for a S/S Daytona in most places is 5 years + and the dealer reserves the right to sell to "special clients". If you don't want to drop $10k on a Daytona, some of the pre-owned 1665 are great value.

Sorry, wouldn't know. But I suggest you talk to someone at your mall's Rolex store. The salesmen and women should know their stuff.

Buy a gold bar instead!
It will take 50 years for a rolex to increase its value.

Buy it only from an accredited source. Don't fall for people who say they can get them cheap. There are loads of fakes on the market, some of them very good. A real one will have an authentication certificate and serial number that can be checked with Rolex.

I have always been told the second had goes around continuously, doesn't "tick tick tick" like other watches

on a real rolex the second hands floats around the dial.

On a fake, and other watches, the second hands kind of stops at each tick.

Get it from a reputed store. has to be original then!

Should have the serial number on the back as well as on the band somewhere, also in the box and it should have matching serial numbers on the paperwrok it came with that is the same number as on the watch and band.

Take it to a jewelers. If they offer you $20 for it, get a second opinion.

I am going to buy a TAG or Rolex watch and I live in Australia. Would I better buying from somewhere like Singapore to get a better price?

Your best bet is of course to buy one of those watches from an authorized dealer. Now you say you want to buy authentic so if you were to buy from an authorized Singapore retailer, the likelihood of the watch being cheaper is small. Plus you factor in the costs of a plane flight and hotel (maybe) to the overall cost. You always want to buy from an authorized dealer to make sure its Authentic and hasn't been badly repaired or the movement switched out with a cheap quartz one, then you just have a shell.
