Today, replica watches are being made to the very finest of details, being almost identical to an Authentic watch (except for real gold, jewels, etc) And it occurred to me that since they are almost completely identical, why bother pay for a $ 1000 Cartier when you can get an almost identical cartier for $ 50? I don’t care about a watch being authentic and real, i care about how it looks on my wrist!!! What is your opinions on this matter? I see a $ 1000 watch as only a watch to brag to your friends and colleagues.

I got my cousin a replica Breitling, if you’re a watch lover you know how big of a deal Breitling is!!! and he didn’t care that it wasn’t real. The only thing that might give the watch away was the strap because it wasn’t genuine leather, but who cares. The dial was beautiful.
I’m still for real things becuase I believe theres a reason they cost so much. For one, the feel and look of the real deal is unbeatable. It’s breathtaking. And, I’m afraid that one day a person would call me out and tell me that my watch was fake. I’d rather go without that humiliation.

I saw one at a car boot sale and it had brass rivets with the tree symbol on them and a disc inside stamped with the tree symbol. Also embossed inside with the word Chanel. Having looked at the replicas on the internet against the real thing I’m unable to see much difference.I always go yesreplica to get some answers.but I need more.

It’s really hard to tell now. If you want to be sure you’re getting the real thing, buy one from the Chanel store or website. Or, just buy a fake one that looks so real nobody can tell

Recently, we purchased a couple of watches from an on line retailer. I noticed that the dial on the Automatic Ebel Classic Wave is kind of “loose” and it moves slightly side ways as I push or pull the crown. The watch has all the serial numbers and stuff that makes it look genuine, but this movement of the dial is very unsettling!
We paid almost 800$ for the watch which retails for 1200$ .
Either the site is selling fake watches or Ebel’s standards are slipping away. What do yo think?
Anyone with Ebel experience, please chime in!

Probably a fake. If you’re going to spend the money for a luxury/prestige watch you need to go to a reputable retailer such as a jewelry store. If you can’t afford to do that then you need to start listening to talk shows like Clark Howard or Dave Ramsey. They would have something to say about wasting that money when you can’t really afford it just to keep up appearances.

I’m considering buying a Baume et Mercier Hampton Classic from this company but I noticed that a previous question answering a similar question was deleted. It appeared that the answer was that the watch that was purchased from them was a fake. Can anyone help me out with this?
Thanks!

Hi Raphael,
I really did not have a good experience with Gemnation.com
But recently I bought from www.interwatches.com and they really have earned my trust, they have a system which you place your offer and then they analyze your offer and notify you if its good or not. This is a great way to pay less for amazing Swiss Watches. They also have a great selection of wristwatches and Free Shipping USA and also Very fast worldwide.
Feel free to check your page.

Before buying something of great amount like watches, one of the most important things you need to consider is its authenticity. Spending your money for something you thought is original which in fact it’s not, could be really frustrating.
Each watches obtain engrave which make them easily identified. For instance with Rolex watches, the name ROLEX are clearly engrave at certain areas of the product. Every manufacturer always has their signature within their products to prove their legitimacy.
Each watch manufacturer obtain authorized dealers all over the world to present and sell their products online or in the market. If you prefer to shop online, you can make use of search engine. What you need to do is to just type your query in a form of “‘authorizedwatch dealers’ or for your ideal manufacturer’s watch dealers. Indeed…

I bought it a while ago and its in almost perfect condition. I was wondering what starting price would be good for it on Ebay. With New Moon coming out maybe its worth more now than when I bought it.
Answer by april T
SOmebody is trying to sell one for $ 248 . You could start it at $ 50, but set a reserve price for $ 200. Remember that if it does not sell, you will have to pay the Ebay fees.

The key is to list it really good. Be sure to put Twilight in the heading. I would put it in movie memorabilia.
This price list has it at $ 60-$ 120 http://blogbeckett.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/twilightpricingpdf1.pdf
Here is one that sold recently http://cgi.ebay.ph/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300323742388 GBP 150 is equal to $ 277 US dollars

I picked up this watch from an antique store.
It is fairly old and in very good condition
I am not sure whether this is an authentic rolex or not and maybe you enthusiasts might be able to tell.
the watch face has the logo, followed by ‘rolex’, oyster perpetual, quartz. and has small diamonds where the 12,3,6,9 should be.
the backing says ‘switzerland, quartz, gold plated, 2035-21, all stainless steel. thanks
