whats the deal now with artie lange ? he was coming to work on a pretty good basis for most of 2009. but starting in december he missed a few days 2 weeks ago and than he missed all 4 days this past week , what is going on with him ? i am a howard tv subscriber i dont have sirius radio. so i only see the 2 hours of highlights each day from the show on howard tv and they havent mentioned anything all week on why he isnt there . what have they said on air this week during the normal 4 or 5 hour show ? what is his reason for missing the entire week this week , is his health alright ?

Jordan V On December 9th, 2009, Lange left the show for an indefinite period of time without announcing his withdrawal and it is unclear whether he will make a reappearance or leave the show for good. Howard Stern commenting, “I can’t reveal anything about Artie’s not being here and until later, Artie won’t be coming back to the show.”

SHOCK jock Howard Stern was finally left speechless yesterday after a brawl erupted inside his Sirius Satellite studio between his hard-partying sidekick Artie Lange and Lange’s assistant, Teddy, which ended with Lange’s quitting the show.

The bickering started off air in the morning, in the hallway adjacent to Stern’s studio. Show staffers overheard Lange screaming at Teddy because Teddy asked him for his passport for the fourth time as he planned their flight to Amsterdam, which was set to take off last night. Lange told Teddy he should have photocopied the passport the first time.

Stern was told they had been bickering and brought it up on air. When Teddy came in to defend himself, Lange snapped.

“He’s a loser,” yelled Lange. “He’s the most unorganized assistant. I want to fire him, but he has no money. I hope he dies of AIDS.”

One show insider says that the staff loves Lange and is “extremely upset” but that it’s out of Stern’s hands and that Sirius management will soon decide Lange’s fate. The show is on a break next week.
I dont listen to the show often, but it seems none of Howard’s employees really like him, besides…I guess Robin

I listened to both and I am more of an O&A fan but Jim is just freakin halarious but on the other hand I can barely make it through Howard Sterns show if Artie wasn’t there because he is a riot as well. What is your Opinion?

I personally don’t believe anything he says. He tells Howard he is seeing this therapist he recommended, is working out, and blames his tiredness on staying up late watching the NCAA games. I don’t believe any of it, he is dancin, always was dancin!!! I’ll go as far to say that I don’t think I believe him when he says he has had enemas at that place in Florida!!! No way is Artie shoving something up his ass. Don’t get me wrong, I love Art, but I just wish he would get his act together. I think he’s a lost cause.
He is still up near 300. I think he weighed in a week or two ago at 297.

I know what you mean. I haven’t listened to the show in a few months, but it doesn’t sound like Artie has changed much. I like him and I don’t know what it is going to take to get him to turn his life around. What is his weight now?

I’ve heard he has been acting strangely writing odd letters about how he is lonely and miserable. He was a really funny guy in some movies I’ve seen him in I hope he is ok and that if he is having trouble Howard Stern and the crew at the radio show will make sure he gets the help he needs We’ve had way too many big belly celebrities go before it was there time.

I think he would. He looks pretty acurate, not to mention he’s got great comedic timing, so it would seem more realistic.
