CJ Wilson, MLB Pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, has joined Graham as an Ambassador. He is also the owner of CJ Wilson Racing. This is perhaps a move by Graham to better infiltrate the US Market.

GRAHAM welcomes CJ Wilson
A native of Southern California, CJ Wilson, proud Graham Ambassador and Major League Baseball pitcher, brings a new edge to the Graham family. CJ is the first professional baseball player to be signed as a brand Ambassador for Graham, strengthening the brand’s presence in worldwide sports culture. CJ is also the owner of CJ Wilson Racing, which continues the long motorsports heritage of the Graham brand. The motorsports and racing legacy is a defining feature that drew CJ to the brand initially. “I really like that Graham has connections to motorsports. For me, that sends the message that they’re serious about precision and performance, not just style,” says Wilson, now in his 7th year as a Major Leaguer.
CJ has enjoyed great success in his young career, both on the baseball diamond and on the racetrack through CJ Wilson Racing, the latter of which won the 2011 Road Atlanta race in the SCCA Pro Racing MX-5 Cup on September 30th, 2011. But off the field, Wilson has become a pillar in the community for not only his dominance on the field, but it his charitable endeavors through CJ Wilson Childrens Charities, a Dallas-based organization that supports children with chronic and terminal illnesses nationwide. The Charity teams up with childrens hospitals to inspire comfort and hope by helping to believe some of the stresses associated with long-term hospital stays.
Wilson wears owns several GRAHAM watches and particularly loves the Chronofigher Oversize Diver and Silverstone Stowe Classic models. GRAHAM watches are almost emblematic of CJ’s drive for the perfect balance between performance and style on the field and into his daily life. “The Graham brand is bold- and for me standing out is important. I feel boldness- when combined with style- really sets more personality into each design element.”

Since 1908, Concord has been making luxury timepieces that are truly innovative and unique. Concord was the first brand to design a watch made of coins, as well as being one of the first private label luxury watches to incorporate precious metals and gems in its watches. Concord also made news with the Delirium Watch in 1979 which was the thinnest watch ever made at the time at 1.98 mm. Subsequently, the Delirium 2 was made at an even thinner width at 1.5 mm. Another unique aspect of Concord’s design philosophy is that although they are a Swiss company, they have always designed their watches with the American market in mind.
Although Concord watches had made a name for themselves with their luxurious and innovative watches, they along with other companies have long utilized a powerful brand ambassador and recruited Spanish professional golfer Alvaro Quintos to be the face of Concord in 2011.
Alvaro Quiros wins Euroropean Tour
Alvaro Quintos is a young innovative man himself. He recently achieved the great accomplishment of being the first man to win all three European Tour desert golf events. Quintos previously won titles in the 2009 Commericalbank Qatar Masters and the Omega Dubai Classic in addition to the season-ending Dubai World championship.
Per the Concord Facebook page featuring their partnership with Quintos; Concord is genuinely proud of this promising new affiliation with Álvaro Quirós. Quintos has said that “likes the design of Concord watches because they are very elegant while still young and fresh.” Quintos, who is often referred to as a “power hitter”, has become widely appreciated for his relaxed and natural attitude on and off the golf course.

He will be ably representing the brand on golf links around the world – and at various press events where he will be able to share his enthusiasm for his discipline with golf aficionados around the globe. Concord goes on to say that both parties in this collaborative partnership are involved in fields where patience and perseverance are harmonized by boldness and inventiveness.
This could not be truer in the case of Quintos and Concord. Both factions are known for being professionals and making headlines in their respective fields at an early age. Both Concord and Quiros are innovative and unique. There is no doubt that both parties will continue to impress the masses with their talent, dedication to their craft, and commitment to perfection.

Prestigious watchmaker Audemars Piguet recently appointed esteemed dancer Svetlana Zakharova as ambassador to their line of luxury timepieces. As many high end watchmakers typically appoint sports figures as ambassadors to their brand; it was a refreshing change to see a delicate yet powerful artist as a representative of their brand.
Zakharova is a principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet in Russia and the Teatro della Scala in Italy and is known to be one of the greatest living women dancers. It is no wonder that Audemars Piguet would choose Zakharova to represent their watches as both names elicit thoughts of timeless style and elegance. “Grace is probably a sense of style; it can be physical or spiritual.” says Zakharova.

The Bolshoi Theatre, the parent company of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, is one of Russia’s greatest treasures and has been the heart of Moscow’s performing arts scene for over 200 years. The theatre first opened its doors in 1780 and underwent a major renovation in 2005 closing its doors for 6 years to revamp the historic site. The Bolshoi Theatre raised its curtains once again in 2011 after a $ 680 million renovation and restoring the acoustics and original Imperial décor of the Bolshoi.
To commemorate the re-opening of the Bolshoi Theatre, Audemars Piguet released a version of their limited edition Jules Audemars Extra–Thin watch. The Jules Audemars Bolshoi series in pink or white gold with stylish anthracite dial effortlessly captures the brand’s extensive experience in watch making and craftsmanship.
The limited edition Bolshoi watch from Audemars Piguet
The Bolshoi limited edition timepiece is regarded by many experts to be one of the most beautiful self-winding movements. Movement specifications include 28.49 mm total diameter, adorns 37 jewels, 214 parts, approximately 40 hours of power reserve and 19,800 vibrations per hour. The case is made of 18 carat white or pink gold, sapphire crystal case back which is water resistant to 20 meters. The anthracite dial is decorated with white or pink gold applied hour-markers and the beautiful strap bears a hand-stitched ‘’large square scale’’ anthracite crocodile strap with 18 carat white or pink gold pin buckle.
Only 99 of these investment pieces of the Bolshoi were created in accordance with the number of years between the creation of the two prominent institutions in their respective circles: dance and opera for the Bolshoi theatre, founded in 1776 and Fine Watchmaking for Audemars Piguet, founded in 1875.

Breitling’s Ambassador, Herbert “The Flying Fish” Nitsch, is aiming to set a new record for free diving. His previous record of 700 feet set in 2007 still stands, but he continues to push his own limits.

From Breitling:
“Herbert Nitsch freedives towards an 800-foot record
Herbert Nitsch, airline pilot and extreme record man, went down in history on June 14th 2007, off the Greek island of Spetses, by freediving to a depth of 700 feet (-214 m). This incredible feat put him way ahead of his nearest competitors and has yet to be superseded. Since then, he has kept right on pushing his limits. Closely linked with Breitling, “The Flying Fish” is currently engaged in the preparatory phase for his next record: freediving to 800 feet (-244 m), scheduled for summer 2012. To test his physique and nerves of steel, he has once again chosen the waters of the Aegean Sea, in the magnificent setting of the isle of Santorini. The highly successful trials have provided the opportunity to check the performance of the “torpedo sled” facilitating the champion’s descent and ascent, complete with its underfoot ballast system, as well as the overhead inflatable buoy for bringing the diver back to the surface – all on a single breath. This is super high-tech and ultra-reliable equipment, exactly like the Breitling that partners his accomplishments. Highly focused on safety, Herbert Nitsch intends to perfect his physical and mental training during the next few months, and finalize the development of the whole procedure of diving to the 800-foot threshold, before setting the “Breitling Extreme 800” record next year. All of which will bring him one step closer to his ultimate objective of breaking the legendary 1,000-foot (-305 m) barrier.”
