rolex repair Question&Answer:
Question by Hector: What’s so special about Starbucks?
I’ve been doing some research on this corporation. And have found many
“interesting” tidbits of information regarding the motives of this corporation.
And yes,Starbucks is a corporation.First off,the name;Starbucks-interesting
name for a coffee shop huh? Let us break down the name shall we.Star-Bucks:
Now, how many stars are there in our galaxy?(Hundreds of billions would you
say?) Now what about the last 5 letters? “Bucks”-well it shouldn’t take a
mathmetician to know that bucks typically refers to money! Here are some facts
relating to Starbucks’ financial standings:
Revenue US$ 10.71 billion (FY 2010)[1]
Operating income US$ 1.42 billion (FY 2010)[1]
Net income US$ 945.6 million (FY 2010)[1]
Total assets US$ 6.38 billion (FY 2010)[1]
Total equity US$ 3.68 billion (FY 2010) [1]
Also, why are the cashiers and servers behind the counter called “baristas”? The
exact definition isn’t what’s puzzling to me.It’s the origin of the word itself.
The word barista is of Italian origin, and in Italian, a barista is a male or female
“bartender”, who typically works behind a counter, serving both hot drinks (such as espresso),
and cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, not a coffee-maker specifically.
I believe the true reason this word was chosen was to capitalize on the stupidity
of the “Elite”,or “Elite-wannabes”…Most wealthy people or people who live the ghetto-
fabulous life{i.e.living well beyond their means};seem to equate all things European as
quality.Let me show you some examples of European quality:
-Lamborghini
-Ferrari
-Alfa Romeo
-Maseratti
-Aston Martin
-Rolex
-Patek Phillipe’
-Tag Heuer
And of all these, there are striking coincedences involving all of the above listed. They are all
very expensive! Now for some reason many people seem to think these things are the pinnacle
of quality.I find it rather humorous that as great as these things seem, they all share a common
handicap. That is,when something goes wrong, you’re totally at the mercy of waiting to receive
new parts. This in turn cost tremendous amounts of money due in large part that most of the
materials needed to assemble these hand-made “masterpieces” have to be imported from Europe.
Now people will often snicker at the sight of practicality over ostentatiousness. And this is pure
hilarity considering that a Toyota will run and run and run some more and rarely if ever breakdown.
Oh yeah,if a Toyota does need a part, parts are readily availble at most automotive repair shops.
Also, why the heck are the founders of this “spectacularly profitable conglomerate” so pretentious?
I mean c’mon,seriously-do they really have to call a small a “TALL”,a medium a “GRANDE”,and
last but not least,a large a “VENTI”? The first time I ever went to a Starbucks and heard the
“barista” call my “Caramel-Frappuccino”a “Venti”.I swear I wanted to punch this pompous turd
in the face! And so many people act like their coffee is so amazing and delicious. Are you kidding me?
I’ve had “Costco”brand coffee that tasted better.And unburnt! I know everyone’s different,with
different tastes.I’m not trying to convince anyone not to frequent their favorite establishment.
But if you find yourself going to Starbucks, ask yourself; Are you going for the right reason? Or
are you just a sheep following sheep?

okay so i only read the last two lines of your description, but yes people just go to starbucks because celebrities go there. its an affordable way to buy into the luxury, fame and glamour that celebrities can enjoy. just carrying around a starbucks coffee or frappacino gives you instant confidence and swag, and all for under $ 10.
taste-wise, the only thing i like from starbucks is there green tea frappacinos. their actual coffee tastes like sewage water to me.
